Bergen Engineering co.

Established in 1945 by Barney and Inez Branca, Bergen Engineering Co. (BEC) began as a full service engineering and construction firm. The company was one of the first building contractors to venture into the Meadowlands area, where they perfected an innovative muck-and-fill method. Through this technique, BEC was able to transform the Meadowlands into developable land, which allowed businesses and sports organizations to establish themselves in the region. 

Over the years, Bergen Engineering has built over three million square feet in the Meadowlands region including office, warehouse, flex, and hotel properties. Today, BEC is one of New Jersey's largest and most successful general contracting firms, and is run by Barney and Inez's son, Richard Branca.
